Our group enjoys exploring on foot different areas of London to discover fascinating aspects of its history and heritage.
The walk in October was a very interesting look at Brixton with the street art being astounding.
The November walk in the East End gave us an insight into the lives of the victims of Jack the Ripper.
Our itinerary was completed in 2025 with another successful year although restricted to eight walks due to train strikes and the perennial problems on the met line. We hope 2026 will see fewer problems!
The group is currently full so we are not able to accept new members but you could have a chat with Sue Bussey at the main meeting if you think you might be able to start another one!

Our walk in September 2024 took us from Mile End to Stepney Green. This is a very interesting part of the East End of London with the highlights being the Jewish cemetery in the grounds of Queen Mary university and the wonderful St Dunston and All Saints church at Stepney Green. This was originally built in the 10th century and then rebuilt in the early 15th century. The unusual stained glass windows being particularly striking.
