Adhoc day trips to places of interest mainly in the summer months, open to all S&D u3a members.
Previously we have enjoyed visits to the delightful city of Ely and its cathedral (with its unique 14th century octagonal lantern tower) and to Arundel. Unfortunately our planned visit to Windsor in September came up against high security in place for the arrival of the USA President so we judged it best to cancel; we hope to reinstate the visit for 2026.
There have been a couple of suggestions for next years trip which are Stanery House and Fountain near Cheltenham and Wrest Park near Luton. Has anyone else any other ideas?

In November we had a bus full of shoppers heading out to visit the Knebworth Christmas Fair. The place was buzzing with plenty of stalls catering for all tastes, including a food section with a wide variety of local produce, clothing, furniture, Christmas decorations and gifts, all in all a lovely festive atmosphere. Everyone had an enjoyable day and returned to the coach laden with their purchases.
