This is a joint group with Chorleywood u3a, arranged term by term, payable in advance, based on court fees. We can teach you how to play, it is quick to pick up and equipment is available to borrow. There is an additional group playing on Tuesday mornings at the same venue.
Pickleball is a mixture between badminton and short tennis, playable indoors and out. We play indoors on badminton-sized courts with a slightly modified tennis net and use paddles and a lightweight perforated polymer ball. We play doubles, it is lively and it is great fun, easy to pick up but once you have learned the basics you realise it concentrates more on strategy and placing rather than strength. ! If you are interested in finding out more contact Gordon Pell via the Group Email
Pickleball is massive in the USA where it began and is now a big hit in the UK as well as other countries, The group is registered as a club with Pickleball England.
TennisNuts are offering a discount code so our u3a members can get discounts on racket sports equipment on line and in store.
